Remediation

Land remediation is the process of removing materials that are potentially hazardous from contaminated land. Most chemicals released in the soil are left by businesses and corporations. In most cases, efforts aimed at cleaning up the soil are structured at national government levels. In the United States, the approach to soil remediation is based on directives issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

From underground tank pulls to soil and groundwater removal, Bluewater Environmental Services has the equipment and the knowledge to meet the needs of these remediation projects. Read more: What is Land Remediation?

Keep In Mind

Items to think about when hiring an abatement contractor include:

  • history & references for similar projects;
  • cost - make sure comparable & detailed services are being quoted;
  • the contractor’s recent history of violations of state or federal asbestos laws;
  • the type and amount of liability insurance carried by the contractor.

Most importantly, talk to the contractor, learn exactly what they will do for you, check your comfort level with them, and then hire based upon overall quality of services, not just cost.
